US House of Representatives passes the Clean Economy Jobs and Innovation Act

Today, the United State (US) House of Representatives passed an energy innovation package, H.R. 4447, that has the potential to transform the development and deployment of CCS in the US.
Referred to as the Clean Economy Jobs and Innovation Act of 2020, the package is the combination of several bipartisan bills and amendments that could lead to major changes in the way CCS is researched, developed, demonstrated and deployed in the US, as well as authorise approximately $15 billion USD of funding for investment in CCS technologies.
