U.K Government Earmarks Funding for CCS Under Green Recovery Plan

The Global CCS Institute welcomes the U.K government’s announcement to invest £139 million to scale up the use of carbon capture and storage and drive emission reductions in heavy industry. The announcement is part of a broader green recovery plan, which earmarks a total of £350 million to steer decarbonisation efforts through climate action policies and supportive funding programmes. The investment aligns with the government’s commitment to reach net zero emissions by 2050.
