Innovation in Industrial Carbon Capture Conference

21st January 2020

Location(s): Geleen, Netherlands

Organised by the EU-Horizon 2020 funded project LEILAC (Low Emissions Intensity Lime and Cement) Consortium, the Innovation in Industrial Carbon Capture Conference 2020 will bring together the latest knowledge in the industrial application of carbon capture technology and how it aligns with CCU and CCS-roadmaps.

Two years on from the inaugural LEILAC-Conference in 2018, a lot has happened. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) have released their latest findings urging for action, governments within the EU are converting EU-targets into National targets and Roadmaps to decarbonizing industry. The LEILAC project has also progressed on time and under budget, with testing now commencing following the ribbon cutting ceremony in May 2019.

The Conference aims to create a platform to share learnings from the pilot and exchange and key thoughts in Industrial Carbon Capture with fellow experts, stakeholders and industry leaders. Updates on other industrial developments in CCUS will complete the picture.

The exchange of ideas will be facilitated through a combination of engaging keynote speakers including high Level representation of key EU Directorates and the Boards of HeidelbergCement, Lhoist and Cemex, lively panel discussions and interactive workshops with a split lunch-to-lunch format, allowing plenty of time for networking during the day and evening.

If you are interested in examining the role of European industry, policy and public funding in carbon capture innovation, please register to secure your place at the conference.
